Home Again

Minus one gall bladder.

Plus a lovely assortment of floral arrangements.  Funny, at the after-xmas sales I was thinking a needed another vase or two.  I'm not so sure that emergency surgery was the right was to go about getting some but I'm trying to look on the positive side.

Surgery is pretty much every bit as awful as one would expect but if you are local, the folks - particularly the nursing staff - at Viginia Hospital Center in Arlington are wonderful. I highly recommend going there when the pain in your chest is making you think of the Alien movies.

I'll write up all the gory details later.

And I was gonna call you today in the hospital. No, really, it's on my iCal for 3:15. Well, glad you're home, hope you're feeling better, hope your mom doesn't drive you insane in the meantime. :)

Nothing to miss. Unless you were also on the friend's list of the buddy that took me to the emergency room, you had no way of knowing.

HUGS! I am glad you are home and can sympathize about the ickiness of the surgery. I also have a lot of nice vases and a few cute bears, though and a nice turtle .... But, you're right, surgery is not the best reason to get gifts ;)

HUGS!
If you need anything call :)

EEK!!! I hope you are recovered soon! Do you need someone to go get groceries or anything for you?

Thanks. Mom is here and is quite enjoying being able to baby me. There have already been 3 grocery store trips as we change our minds about what we want to cook for dinner.

You know.. I was just thinking earlier today about you and wondered where you had gone. I'm glad to see you back.. I had my gall bladder out when I was 22... not fun, but... it could be worse, right?

Feel better, honey.

Best wishes on recovery - I can totally relate to the horrible chest/stomach pain of which you speak. I had mine out a few years ago and while the surgery and recovery wasn't much fun, I was sure glad to have it out.

It is amazing how many other people have had this done. I'm glad it is out but I will be even happier when my energy is back.
